Pui O is ideal and safe to teach children how to surf. The beach is shallow and the waves gentle for beginners and children with limited practice. We start teaching young kids as early as 5 years old. Older kids who already had some practice but need extra skills are also welcome or they can join either the day camps or overnight adventure camps. Safety is a prime concern:
- Instructor-student ratio set at 1 to 5.
- All participants must be able to Swim a minimum standard of 15 meters for students to be able to participate in this activity.
- All potential safety concerns will be pointed out during the instruction period.
- If someone is not comfortable in water we do offer complementary lifejackets.
Surfing and Safety, Ocean Awareness and beach games are all part of our daily activities. At the end of the programme, participants will receive their Quiksilver Surf Certificate and prizes.
