Sundays By The Bay: A New Sunday Tradition at Treasure Island
Good music, good people and a good Sunday. Join us at Pui O Beach as Treasure Island celebrates 30 years of adventure, community and life by the sea.
There’s something special about a Sunday spent outdoors, with good music in the air, something delicious to eat and nowhere in particular you need to be.
Starting 11 October, we’re bringing that feeling to Pui O with Sundays By The Bay, a series of free monthly community gatherings celebrating 30 years of Treasure Island Group and the people, places and experiences that make Lantau so special.
Taking place on the second Sunday of each month, these relaxed beachside afternoons will bring together families, friends, dog owners and visitors from across Hong Kong for live music, DJs, food and drinks, local makers, community activities and plenty of time outdoors.
A little nostalgia, a new chapter
For many Lantau residents, Treasure Island’s Sunday Markets hold fond memories of meeting friends, discovering local businesses and enjoying a different pace of life away from the city. Sundays By The Bay takes inspiration from that community spirit, bringing people together again while creating something new for a new generation to enjoy.
As we celebrate our 30th anniversary, it’s also a chance to bring our core values, Adventure, Community and Environment (ACE) to life. At its heart, Sundays By The Bay is about creating a space where people can connect, support local talent and initiatives, and feel part of the community.
Whether you come for the music, catch up with friends, browse local stalls or simply enjoy a few hours by the sea, there’s room to make the day your own. Bring a picnic blanket, bring your favourite people and bring your dog. You’re welcome to bring your own snacks, too, or enjoy food and drinks at Beach Club by Treasure Island.
More than a Sunday
Each gathering will have its own character, with a changing mix of musicians, makers, charities and community organisations. November’s edition will feature Eco Fest By The Bay, celebrating the people and organisations working to protect Hong Kong’s natural environment. It will also offer a first glimpse of a wider environmental initiative Treasure Island Group is developing for June 2027.
More details will follow, but for now, we’re looking forward to bringing people together and making Sundays by the sea something to look forward to.
